From diary to report
Export your LogBark diary to PDF, CSV or ZIP
Review what was detected, add what you observed and choose the dates you need. Keep the original context with the records.

These steps describe the current LogBark beta build. The app is not yet available in the App Store.
1. Stop listening and review
These example files were generated by LogBark’s own exporter using clearly labelled fictional records.
Open your diary and choose “Stop logging”. Open each relevant detected sound, play its clip when available and choose “Relevant to my diary”, “Not relevant” or leave it “Not reviewed”. Add a review note where it helps explain your decision.
2. Add your observations
Choose “Add note” to describe what you noticed and how it affected you. Adjust the dates or open “More details (optional)” to add breaks, a possible source or weather. You can add photos, audio and video. A microphone cannot supply this personal context.
3. Choose Export and the report period
“From” and “Through” include whole days in the diary’s time zone. Choose any period that fits the request. The report preserves UTC offsets, including daylight saving changes. The separate location field is off by default for each export.
4. Pick the format
- PDF report
- A readable summary, activity chart, listening periods, observations, photos and chronological detection log.
- CSV spreadsheet
- Detection records, observation fields and listening coverage with explicit timestamps. Spreadsheet formula prefixes in text fields are neutralised.
- ZIP with media
- The PDF, CSV, referenced audio, photos and videos plus a README explaining the files and their limitations.
5. Check and share
Choose “Create and share”, then save to Files or select a sharing destination. Check your notes and attachments for personal information first. The location switch does not remove an address spoken in a clip, written in a note or stored in a photo’s metadata.
What the numbers mean
An event is a classifier decision, not an individual bark. The activity chart counts detected events by hour across your selected dates, excluding those marked irrelevant. It does not show continuous barking duration. Microphone level is a relative 0–1 value, not a calibrated dB SPL measurement.
Unreviewed and excluded events retain their labels in the log. Outside the listed listening periods, coverage is unknown. Ask your recipient which form and supporting records they need.
